- Mining segment extracts coal from collieries in the Secunda and Sasolburg areas supplying coal to the Secunda Operations Sasolburg Operations and external markets.
- Gas segment holds equity in producing assets in Mozambique and explores licences in Mozambique and South Africa supplying natural gas under long term gas sales agreements to domestic and international customers.
- Fuels segment operates synthetic fuel plants at Secunda and the Natref refinery in Sasolburg and has an interest in the ORYX GTL joint venture in Qatar producing liquid fuels for wholesale retail and export markets.
- Chemicals Africa segment comprises Base Chemicals and Differentiated Chemicals divisions producing polymers fertilisers explosives methanol ammonia gases solvents phenolics wax comonomers safol cobalt catalyst and carbon mainly for customers in South Africa with selected exports.
- International Chemicals segment comprises Chemicals Americas and Chemicals Eurasia divisions producing ethylene polyethylene polypropylene propylene glycol surfactants alcohols aldehydes ketones acrylates and other specialty chemicals serving customers in North America Europe Asia and other regions.
