Strata Power Corporation is a company principally engaged in the acquisition and exploration of oil and gas properties. It was incorporated under the laws of the State of Nevada on November 18 1998 and began operations in January 1999. The company completed its initial public offering in February 2000. On December 27 2018 it filed a certificate of amendment changing its name from Strata Oil & Gas Inc to Strata Power Corporation. Strata Power Corporation continues to be incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act. Its primary focus is the acquisition exploration and if warranted development of heavy oil projects in the Peace River oil sands region of northern Alberta Canada. As of December 31 2025 the company holds a partial interest in seven oil sands leases covering 8 704 hectares all located in the Peace River oil sands area. In addition it holds a royalty interest in ten oil sands leases and owns one nonproducing well.
Strata Power Corporation does not currently generate revenue from oil production because it has not commenced commercial extraction on any of its properties. The company’s activities are limited to acquiring exploring and evaluating oil sands leases with the aim of determining whether a commercially viable project can be developed. Revenue may arise in the future from the sale of oil or from royalty payments if production is achieved on its leases. At present the firm relies on external financing such as private placements and warrant exercises to fund its exploration programs.
Strata Power Corporation operates as a small independent exploration firm in the highly competitive oil and gas sector. It faces competition from large integrated companies that possess greater financial technical and personnel resources. These larger competitors can undertake extensive drilling programs and develop projects more quickly than Strata Power Corporation can. The company’s competitive advantage lies in its specific focus on carbonate hosted bitumen resources in the Peace River area. This focus distinguishes it from many peers that concentrate on conventional oil sands or on other geographic basins. Strata Power Corporation believes the carbonate hosted bitumen represents an under exploited opportunity with significant upside potential. However the company acknowledges that its limited scale may hinder its ability to bear the high costs associated with oil sands development. It must therefore rely on joint ventures or strategic partnerships to advance its projects. The firm also monitors regulatory changes imposed by the Alberta Energy Regulator which can affect operating costs and project timelines. Overall Strata Power Corporation holds a niche position as a junior explorer seeking to unlock value from a specific unconventional resource.
Because Strata Power Corporation has not yet achieved commercial production it does not have an established customer base. Should the company succeed in developing its oil sands leases it would likely sell its crude oil to refiners and to other downstream processors in the North American market. Royalty interests could generate payments from any lessee that brings production to the leases. At this stage the company’s prospective customers remain unspecified and are limited to entities that purchase heavy oil or that participate in royalty arrangements.
