Revenue is derived from time charters, voyage charters, contracts of affreightment, port concessions, logistics outsourcing, and warehousing service fees.
The company operates through the following segments: Maritime Operations, Maritime Infrastructure Operations, Ports, Terminals and Logistics Operations, and Warehousing Operations.
- Maritime Operations: This segment provides maritime transportation services including offshore supply vessels for the oil industry, tanker vessels for petroleum products, chemical tankers for liquid chemical products, and general cargo and bulk vessels in Mexican and international waters. It also offers maritime agency services to ship owners and operators at Mexico's main ports. As of March 31, 2026, the fleet includes five offshore vessels such as Redfish 4, Beluga 2, Go Canopus, TMM Alpha and TMM Gamma, all operating under charter contracts with PEMEX.
- Maritime Infrastructure Operations: This segment operates a shipyard in the port of Tampico, Mexico through subsidiary Inmobiliaria Dos Naciones, S. R. L. de C. V., providing ship repair services and maintaining two floating docks with capacities of 3,000 metric tons and 6,600 metric tons. The 6,600-metric-ton floating dock was commissioned in January 2026 and enables the company to service larger vessels while accessing a 94% market share. IDN services more than 30 vessels annually and supports the company's capability to build additional naval vessels.
- Ports, Terminals and Logistics Operations: This segment provides general cargo operations at the port of Tuxpan under government permits for cargo handling and stowage services. It delivers dedicated logistics services to major manufacturers including automobile manufacturers and retailers throughout Mexico, encompassing inbound parts management, just-in-time inventory planning, logistics network analysis, automotive logistics supervision, warehousing, transportation to ports for export and domestic markets, logistics information process design, intermodal transport, supply chain management, and container maintenance and repair in principal Mexican ports and cities. The division also offers supervision of logistics providers for the automotive industry, with operations commenced in Puebla in January 2025.
- Warehousing Operations: Through its subsidiaries Almacenadora de Depósito Moderno, S. A. de C. V. (ADEMSA) and Saricogui Logística, S. A. P. I. de C. V. (Saricogui), this segment previously provided warehousing services for domestic and international goods. ADEMSA operated as an authorized General Warehouse in Mexico with capacity to issue warehouse certificates and enable third-party facilities under the bonded warehouse regime, while Saricogui focused on domestic warehousing services. As of October 1, 2025, Grupo TMM concluded it lost control of ADEMSA and Saricogui, resulting in the deconsolidation of the warehousing business from its consolidated financial statements.
