Cayson Acquisition Corp is a blank check company incorporated in the Cayman Islands on May 27 2024 for the purpose of effecting a merger share exchange asset acquisition share purchase reorganization or similar business combination with one or more businesses.

The company has not generated any operating revenues to date and does not expect to do so until it completes an initial business combination. Its primary source of funds is the $60,000,000 raised in the initial public offering and the $2,300,000 raised in a concurrent private placement which are held in a trust account to be used as consideration for a future business combination.

As a special purpose acquisition company Cayson Acquisition Corp competes with numerous other blank check companies private equity groups and leveraged buyout funds for attractive target businesses. Its sponsors Yawei Cao and Cayson Holding LP provide initial capital and expertise while the funds held in trust give it a defined pool of capital for acquisitions. However its financial resources are modest compared with larger established competitors which may limit the size of targets it can pursue.

Prior to a business combination Cayson Acquisition Corp does not serve any customers or generate revenue from product or service offerings. Its shareholders consist of public investors who purchased units in the IPO and private placement as well as the sponsoring entities Yawei Cao and Cayson Holding LP.
