Oral Care
The company is a global leader in Oral Care, within the toothpaste and manual toothbrush categories according to market share data. It sells toothpastes, toothbrushes, and mouthwash under brands such as Colgate, Elmex, and Meridol. The Oral Care business also consists of pharmaceutical products for dentists and other oral health professionals.

Personal Care
The Personal Care segment of the company is a worldwide leader in liquid hand soap, according to market share data. The company sells personal care products under brands such as Palmolive, Protex, and Softsoap. It also includes Irish Spring, Palmolive, and Protex bar soaps; Irish Spring, Palmolive, Sanex, and Softsoap shower gels; Tom’s of Maine deodorants and antiperspirants; skin health products, and Palmolive shampoos and conditioners.

The increase in Personal Care was because of organic sales growth in the liquid hand soap group, partially neutralized by a decline in organic sales in the underarm protection group.
Home Care
The company produces and trades a wide range of products for the Home Care market, including Ajax, Axion, and Palmolive dishwashing liquids and Ajax, Fabuloso, and Murphy household cleaners. It is a market leader in fabric conditioners with leading brands, including Suavitel, Soupline, and Cuddly.

Pet Nutrition
The Pet Nutrition segment produces and markets specialty pet nutrition products. They trade pet foods principally under two brands: Hill’s Science Diet and Hill’s Prescription Diet. Hill’s Science Diet offers a range of products for everyday nutritional needs. Hill’s Prescription Diet offers a range of therapeutic products to assist nutritionally managing disease conditions in dogs and cats.
Colgate Palmolive’s revenue from Pet Nutrition business increased by 12.5%, from $706.01 million in Q3 2020 to $794.52 million in Q3 2021, on a year-on-year basis. The increase was due to organic sales growth in the Science Diet and Prescription Diet categories. However, it decreased by 1.8% quarterly, as compared to $809.40 million earned in Q2 2021. This segment contributes 18% to the company’s total revenue.
