Furthermore, it increased by 5.45% compared to 16.50 million customers in Q3 2021. This segment of customers constitute 16% of the total number of customers of T-Mobile in Q4 2021.
The number of branded postpaid other customers is rising because of enlargement in other connected devices that contain the growth of the wearable product, fast speed internet, and public and educational sector customers.
Branded postpaid phone customers
The Branded postpaid phone customers grew from 66.62 million customers in Q4 2020 to 70.26 million customers in Q4 2021, indicating a year-on-year growth of 5.46%. It also grew 1.21% compared to 69.42 million customers in Q3 2021. This segment of customers constitute the major part of number of customers of the company in Q4 2021, accounting for 65% of the total customers.
The number of branded postpaid phone customers has been on the rise because of the ongoing success of new customer segments and the rate plans with continued growth in new and existing markets, along with the targeted promotional project and enhanced retail store traffic compared to the retail traffic in the prior period which was lower due to closures of stores arising because of the pandemic.
Branded prepaid customers
The Branded prepaid customers grew from 20.71 million customers in Q4 2020 to 21.06 million customers in Q4 2021, indicating a year-on-year growth of 1.69%. it also grew 0.23% compared to 21.06 million customers in Q3 2021. This segment of customers constitute 19% of the total number of customers of T-Mobile in Q4 2021.
The number of branded prepaid customers is on the rise because of the continued success of the company’s prepaid business due to the rate plan offers and promotional activities.
