The revenue growth was driven by a rise in demand for architectural paints and an increase in demand for coatings in the industrial markets. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sherwin Williams partnered with Fiberlock Shockwave- a ready-to-use disinfectant and cleaner to help the customers limit the spread of COVID-19. 

Consumer Brands Group

Consumer Brands Group contains a mix of branded and local-label paints, industrial products, adhesives, aerosols, and wood finished products. Major brands include- Valspar, HGTV Home, Krylon, Dutch Boy, Frazee, Geocel, Kool Seal, Ronseal, Uniflex, Water Seal, Cabot, and many more. The company manufactures and supplies these products to retailers in America, Europe, China, Australia, and New Zealand.

The revenue from this segment rose from $622.30 million in Q1 2020 to $778.10 million in Q1 2021, an increase of 25.03% on a year-on-year basis. In Q1 2021, this segment contributed 16.71% to the company’s total revenue.

Performance Coatings Group

The Performance Coatings Group of the company manufactures and supplies a broad range of products like industrial coatings, packaging coatings, marine coatings, and automotive refinishes. The customers of this segment include- fleet owners, automotive interiors, production shops, architects, and many more. This segment has its operations in the United States and 44 countries worldwide. Major brands of this segment are- Duraspar, Planet Colour, ValPure, Kem Aqua, EzDex, EuroNavy, and Excelo.

The Americas Group
