Annual Contract Value (ACV) can be defined as the average annual revenue generated from each customer contract. It does not include any one-time fees. Most companies compare their Annual Contract Value (ACV) to their Customer Acquisition Cost, to find out how long it’s going to take them to recover the cost of customer acquisition. The Annual Contract Value (ACV) differs for different types of businesses. B2C businesses like Spotify and Netflix have low ACV, resulting in high number of customers. Whereas, B2B businesses like Salesforce have high ACV, resulting in low number of customers.
