Homebuilding East

Revenues from house sales grew in 2021 compared to 2020, owing to an increase in the number of home deliveries in all of the segment’s states except Pennsylvania, as well as a rise in the average sales price in all of the segment’s states. The rise in the number of home deliveries was mostly due to increased demand as the number of active communities grew.

The decline in home deliveries in Pennsylvania was mostly due to a reduction in the number of communities related to the time of community opening and closing. The rise in the average sales price of newly delivered homes was mostly due to improved market conditions.

Homebuilding Central

House sales revenues grew in 2021 compared to 2020, owing to an increase in the number of home deliveries in all of the segment’s states and an increase in the average sales price in all of the segment’s states except Virginia. The increase in delivery numbers was mostly due to increased demand as the number of active communities increased.

The rise in the average sales price of newly delivered homes was mostly due to improved market conditions. A change in product mix due to a higher number of deliveries in lower-priced areas drove down the average sales price of homes delivered in Virginia.

Homebuilding Texas

Home sales revenue grew in 2021 over 2020, owing to an increase in the number of home deliveries and an increase in the average sales price. The increase in delivery numbers was mostly due to increased demand as the number of active communities increased. The rise in the average sales price of newly delivered homes was mostly due to improved market conditions.

Homebuilding West

Home sales revenue grew in 2021 compared to 2020, owing to a rise in the number of home deliveries and average sales prices across all states in the segment. The increase in delivery numbers was mostly due to increased demand as the number of active communities increased. The rise in the average sales price of newly delivered homes was mostly due to improved market conditions.

Following the acquisition of Cal Atlantic Homes in 2017, the company became the largest house construction company in the US. According to Fortune 500, the company is ranked 154th in 2019. The firm, which operates in 21 states, owns Rialto Capital Management, which is the sponsor of six private equity real estate funds and a securitization originator of commercial mortgage loans. Furthermore, the firm has constructed 53 residential complexes in which it still has a stake.

Two of the company’s founders, Leonard Miller and Arnold Rosen, coined the name Lennar, which is a combination of their surnames. During the same year, Lennar Corporation goes public. The New York Stock Exchange first listed it in 1971 (NYSE: LEN).
