Analysis of the performance of Infinera

The revenue from direct channels stood at $ 241.02 million in Q2 FY 2019. This was another QoQ decrease, but less than the double-digit decline faced in the previous quarter. Nonetheless, in Q2 FY 2019, the direct channels accounted for 81.36% of the total revenues of Infinera during that fiscal period. The maximum quarterly rise for this channel took place in the last quarter of FY 2018 with a 109.01% rise from Q3, resulting in an all-time high revenue of $ 281.93 million.

The indirect distribution channel of Infinera saw a 118.16% rise from the second to the third quarter of FY 2018. In the same quarter of the previous year, the quarterly increase was of 32.87%. As the second quarter of FY 2018, the first quarter of FY 2019 also saw a QoQ decrease slightly above 11%. In Q2 FY 2019, there was a 24.09% rise to $ 55.23 million. The only times that the revenues for this channel went below $ 10 million was in the first quarter of FY 2016 and FY 2017.
