The total revenue of Hewlett Packard increased from $1,614 million in Q3 2020 to $1988 million in Q2 2021, which was a good increase of 23.17%. Intelligent Edge
The Aruba Intelligent Edge business is made up of a portfolio of secure edge-to-cloud solutions that include wired and wireless LANs, campus and data centre switching, software-defined wide-area networking (from the Silver Peak acquisition), network security, and related services to enable secure connectivity for businesses of all sizes. Work from anywhere settings, mobility, and the Internet of Things is the major business drivers for Intelligent Edge solutions (“IoT”). The insights gained from data collected at the edge are critical for generating new business outcomes and experiences.
The revenue from the Intelligent Edge segment increased from $684 million in Q3 2020 to $799 million in Q2 2021, increasing by 16.81%. Further, it increased to $867 million in Q3 2021, which was an increase of 8.51% on a quarter-on-quarter basis. The revenue grew by % on a year-on-year basis, from $684 million in Q3 2020 to $867 million in Q3 2021. This segment of the company contributed the maximum revenue, about 42.43% in the latest quarter.
Financial services
Financial Services (“FS”) provides customers with flexible investment solutions such as leasing, financing, IT consumption, and utility programs, as well as asset management services, to enable unique technology deployment models and the acquisition of complete IT solutions from Hewlett Packard Enterprise and others. Financial solutions for on-premise flexible consumption models, such as HPE GreenLake, are also supported by FS. To deliver flexible services and capabilities that support the whole IT life cycle, the financial services segment collaborates with customers around the world to help them develop investment strategies that improve their business agility and support their transformation. For major enterprise customers and channel partners, FS provides a comprehensive range of investment solution capabilities, as well as a variety of financial solutions for SMBs, educational institutions, and government agencies.
The revenue from the Financial Services segment increased from $811 million in Q3 2020 to $839 million in Q2 2021, which was an increase of 3.45%. Further, it increased to $844 million in Q3 2021increasing by a mere 0.59% on a quarter-on-quarter basis. The year-on-year growth stood at 4.07%, increasing from $811 million in Q3 2020 to $844 million in Q3 2021. This segment was the second-highest revenue contributor, contributing 41.31% to the total revenue in the latest quarter.
Corporate Investments
The Advisory and Professional Services (“A & PS”) business primarily provides consultative-led services, HPE and partner technology expertise and advice, implementation services, and complex solution engagement capabilities. The Communications and Media Solutions (“CMS”) business primarily provides software and related services to the telecommunications industry, and the Software business primarily provides HPE Ezmeral Containment software.
The revenue from Corporate Investments segment increased from $119 million in Q3 2020 to $350 million in Q2 2021 witnessing a good increase of around 194.11%. However, it decreased by 5.14% on a quarterly basis, falling down to $332 million in Q3 2021. The year-on-year growth stood at a strong 178.9%, increasing from $119 million in Q3 2020 to $332 million in Q3 2021. This segment contributed the least revenue in the latest quarter, equal to 16.25%.
