DXC Technology’s total revenue decreased from $4.55 billion in Q2 2021 to $4.02 billion in Q2 2022, indicating an 11.65% decline on a year-on-year basis. The revenue in Q2 2022 declined by 2.90% on a quarterly basis that is from $4.14 billion in Q1 2022 to $4.02 billion in Q2 2022. 

DXC Technology generates revenue from the following segments:

Global Infrastructure Services (GIS)

GIS provides a portfolio of technology offerings. This portfolio delivers predictable outcomes and measurable results. It helps in reducing business risk and operational costs for customers. GIS offerings include:

  • Cloud and Security: The company helps customers to rapidly modernize by adapting legacy apps to cloud, migrating the right workloads, and securely managing their multi-cloud environments. Their security solutions help predict attacks, proactively respond to threats, ensure compliance, and protect data, applications, and infrastructure.
  • IT Outsourcing (“ITO”): The ITO services support infrastructure, applications, and workplace IT operations, collaboration tools, physical/virtual end-user devices, including hardware, software, and IT support services. They help customers securely optimize operations to ensure continuity of their systems and respond to new business and workplace demands while achieving cost takeout, all with limited resources, expertise, and budget.
  • Modern Workplace: It serves IT needs of customers from intelligent collaboration, modern device management, digital support services, Internet of Things (“IoT”), and mobility services, providing a consumer-like, digital experience.

DXC Technology’s revenue from GIS decreased by 6.93% from $2.31 billion in Q2 2021 to $2.15 billion in Q2 2022 on a year-on-year basis. It also declined by 4.44% compared to $2.25 billion earned in Q1 2022. This segment contributed to 53.48% of the company’s total revenue in Q2 2022.

GIS revenue were $9.4 billion for fiscal year 2021, a decrease of 10.3% compared to fiscal year 2020. GIS Revenue in constant currency decreased 11.9% compared to fiscal 2020. The decrease in GIS reflects project completions, termination, and decrease in run rate project volume. With the help of additional services provided to new and existing customers the decrease in revenue for fiscal 2021 was partially offset.

Global Business Services (GBS)

GBS provides innovative technology solutions. GBS help customers  to address the key business challenges which accelerate transformations tailored to each customer’s industry and specific objectives. GBS offerings include:

  • Analytics and Engineering. The company’s portfolio of analytics services and extensive partner ecosystem help customers gain rapid insights, automate operations, and accelerate their transformation journeys. They provide software engineering and solutions that enable businesses to run and manage their mission-critical functions, transform their operations, and develop new ways of doing business.
  • Applications. The Company uses advanced technologies and methods to accelerate the creation, modernization, delivery, and maintenance of high-quality, secure applications allowing customers to innovate faster while reducing risk, time to market, and total cost of ownership, across industries. Their vertical-specific IP includes solutions for banking, capital markets and insurance, and automotive among others.
  • Business process services. It includes optimization and integration of front and back-office processes, and agile process automation. It helps companies to reduce costs and minimize business disruption, operational risk, and human error while improving customer experiences.

DXC Technology’s revenue from GBS decreased by 16.46% from $2.24 billion in Q2 2021 to $1.87 billion in Q2 2022 on a year-on-year basis. It also declined by 0.74% compared to $1.89 billion earned in Q1 2022. This segment contributed to 46.51% of the company’s total revenue in Q2 2022.

DXC was formed on April 1, 2017. It was formed by the merger of CSC and HPES (the “HPES Merger”). DXC is a Nevada corporation. It is a global IT services market leader. Their more than 130,000 people in 70-plus countries help global customers, over half of today’s Fortune 500 companies to run mission-critical systems with the latest technology innovations across our Enterprise Technology Stack. 

The company’s corporate headquarters is located at a leased facility in Tysons, VA. They own or lease numerous general office facilities, global security operations centers, strategic delivery centers, and data centers with more than 500 locations around the world. DXC does not identify properties by segment, as they are interchangeable and used by both segments.
