About the Company

Established in 1960, Domino’s Pizza, Inc. is a popular American multinational pizza restaurant chain. Founded by James Monaghan, Dominick DeVarti, and Tom Monaghan, this food chain is spread across the world with approximately 15,000 stores: 5,649 in the U.S., 1,232 in India, and 1,094 in the U.K as of 2018. Domino’s business model is simple: Domino’s stores craft and serve high quality food at a competitive price, accompanied by easy ordering access and smooth and quick service, which is enhanced by innovations in technology. Their hand-tossed dough is prepared fresh and distributed to stores around the globe by them and their franchisees.

Headquartered in Michigan, U.S., Dominos also led its generation of revenues and earnings by selling food, supplies, and equipment to franchisees through their supply chain operations, mainly situated in the U.S. and Canada. Franchisees earn profit by selling pizza along with other complementary items to their local customers. The roots of this company are in convenient pizza delivery, while a huge amount of their sales also arise from carryout customers. Primarily a franchisor, approximately 98% of Domino’s stores are currently owned and operated by their independent franchisees.
