Automotive

Semiconductor test handlers are utilized in conjunction with semiconductor ATE to automate the testing of packaged semiconductor devices. The company’s handlers support a variety of package sizes and device types, including those used in the automotive segment.

The Automotive segment generated $44.07 million in Q2 2021, which was a growth of 63% compared to $27.06 million in Q1 2021. Industrial

The company tests and handles capital equipment, interface products and related services to the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industries.

Computing

Revenue from the Computing segment was affected to some degree in 2021. It stood at $12.24 million in Q2 2021, decreasing at the rate of 9.5% as compared to $13.53 million in Q1 2021. In addition, revenue in Q3 2021 declined to $11.25 million, indicating a fall of 8% on a quarter-on-quarter basis. The Computing segment contributes 5% to the total revenue in Q3 2021.

PCB test

PCB test systems constitute flying probe testers, which are used to test low-volume, highly complex circuit boards. It does not require the use of a separate test fixture or universal grid testers.

On June 24, 2021, Cohu completed the sale of its PCB Test Equipment (PCB Test) business, thus contributing 0% to the total revenue of Q3 2021. However, the revenue increased from $9.02 million in Q1 2021 to $9.79 million in Q2 2021, indicating a growth of 8.5%, on a quarterly basis.
