The total revenue of Caesars Entertainment saw a huge dip from the fiscal year 2020 to that of 2021. There has been a significant decline in revenue from $1,337 billion in Q3 2020 to $2.69 billion in Q3 2021, reducing by 99.8% on a year-on-year basis. However, it grew by approximately 8% on a quarter-on-quarter basis, increasing from $2.5 billion in Q2 2021 to $2.69 billion in Q3 2021.

Casino

Casino operation generates revenue from poker and various other games such as keno, race, and online sportsbooks. The casinos comprise of 54,600 slot machines and 3,200 table games. Pari-Mutuel Commissions have become part of Casinos and these commissions are included in Revenue from Casinos. It consists of the commission received from thoroughbred and harness racing and importing of simulcast signals from other tracks and shown net of taxes as well as the amount paid to horsemen associations. These commissions are determined by the state racing commission.

The Revenue from this operation fell massively, from $919 billion in Q3 2020 to a mere $1.51 billion in Q3 2021, making a decline of approximately 99.84%. The revenue also fell by 3.82% quarterly, as compared to $1.57 billion Q2 2021. This segment has been a major contributor to the overall revenue, contributing 56% in Q3 2021. However, the revenue share has declined from 62.8% in Q2 2021 to 56% in Q3 2021.

Food and Beverage

Casino and Hotels owned by Caesars Entertainment consist of bars, dining venues, night, clubs and lounges. It also provides options ranging from an upscale dining experience to moderately priced restaurants.

The revenue declined significantly from $125 billion in Q3 2020 to $0.3 billion in Q3 2021, falling by 99.76% on a year-on-year basis. The revenue grew approximately by 25% on a quarter-on-quarter basis, when compared to $0.28 billion in Q2 2021. The contribution of this segment to the overall revenue also increased from 11.2% in Q2 2021 to 13% in Q3 2021.

Hotels

Hotel revenue is generated from hotel stays. These include guests who visited the hotels for casino and gaming purposes and non-casino guests who visited for purposes such as vacation or convocation.

Revenue fell drastically from $200 billion in Q3 2020 to $.51 billion in Q3 2021, falling by 99.75% on a year-on-year basis. But the revenue grew by 27.5% on a quarter-on-quarter basis, when compared to $0.4 billion in Q2 2021. The revenue share to the overall revenue also grew from 16% in Q2 2021 to 19% in Q3 2021.

Others

The company entered into an agreement with William Hill in which the company granted William Hill the right to conduct betting activities under the company’s first skin and third skin for the online channel concerning current and future properties located in the US and the right to conduct real money online gaming activities in second skin available in these territories. For this, the company would be receiving 20% ownership interest as well as 13 million ordinary shares of William Hill. The fair value of the shares has been deferred and is recognized as revenue on a straight-line basis over the period of 25 years. The amortization of the deferred revenue is included in other revenue.

The revenue declined massively from $133 billion in Q3 2020 to $0.32 in Q3 2021, falling by 99.76% on a year-on-year basis. It grew by approximately 28% quarterly when compared to $0.25 billion in Q2 2021. The revenue share has also increased from 10% in Q2 2021 to 12% in Q3 2021.
