This region contributed about 37%, of the total passenger capacity of Air Group, making it the uppermost performer in 2021. In which, company’s mainline operations, passenger capacity in Transcon/mid con region, contributed about 40%. While its regional operations contributed about 16% share in the total passenger capacity in mid con region. It marked a downward trajectory, from 41% in 2020 to 37% in 2021, on a yearly basis.
West Coast
This Category designates flying operations running within the West Coast, while the departures from the west coast to other regions are included in other categories. This region contributed about 31% of the total passenger capacity of Air Group in 2021. In which, company’s mainline operations, passenger capacity in the West Coast region, contributed about 24%. While its regional operations contributed about 74% share in total west coast category including departures to other categories. It declined by 1% on a yearly basis, comparing from 32% in 2020 to 31% in 2021.
Hawaii, Costa Rica, and Belize
Altogether, these regions contributed about 16% of the total passenger capacity of Air Group in 2021. In which, company’s mainline operations contributed about 18% passenger capacity in Hawaii, Costa Rica, and Belize. It marked a hike of 6% on a yearly basis, comparing from 10% in 2020 to 16% in 2021.
Alaska
This region contributed about 11% of the total passenger capacity of Air Group in 2021. In which, company’s mainline operations, passenger capacity in the Alaska region, contributed about 12%. While its regional operations contributed about 3% share. Compared on a yearly basis from 2020 to 2021, there have been seen no changes in the percentage. However, the passenger capacity increased by 1% compared to 2019.
Mexico
This region contributed about 5% of the total passenger capacity of Air Group in 2021. In which, company’s mainline operations contributed about 6% in the Mexico region. Compared on a yearly basis from 2020 to 2021, there have been seen no changes in the percentage. However, the passenger capacity increased by 2% compared to 2019.
Canada
This region was barely working at a passenger capacity of 1% in 2019 and 2020. Now in 2020, the percentage came down to 0%. This region comes under CPA aircraft i.e. Capacity Purchase Agreement with aircraft. Under this agreement, the linked carriers sell their full capacity to the company, against which the company pays the carriers their underlying operating costs and other factors intended to match market rates for the given services.
