Western Digital’s Revenue by Region increases on a year-on-year basis, but declines on a quarter-on-quarter basis. The American region contributes around 35% to the total revenue of the company from all the regions in Q2 2022. The revenue from this region first increased from $10 billion in Q2 2021 to $17 billion in Q1 2022, making an increment of 70% in revenue. Further, it witnessed a slight decline of 12% on a quarter-on-quarter basis, from $17 billion in Q1 2022 to $15 billion in Q2 2022. On a year-on-year basis, the revenue increased from $10 billion in Q2 2021 to $15 billion in Q2 2022, marking a rise of 50%.
Asia
Asia region is the highest revenue contributor among all the regions. It contributes around 53% to the total revenue of the company generated from all regions. Earlier in Q2 2021 company earned a total of $23 billion, while in Q1 2022 it rose to $27 billion. This shows an 18% rise in revenue from the Asian region. However, in Q4 2021, this region generated the same revenue as in the previous quarter, amounting to $27 billion. This indicates that there was a 0% growth in revenue on a quarterly basis. On a year-on-year basis, the revenue inclined by 18%, from $23 billion in Q2 2021 to $27 billion in Q2 2022.
EMEA
The EMEA region contributes 17% to the total revenue of the company in Q2 2022. Earlier in Q2 2021, the company earned a total of $8 billion. In Q1 2022, it remains the same as Q2 2021, standing at $8 billion. However, in Q2 2022, it showed a rise to $9 billion indicating a quarter-on-quarter growth of 12.5%. The year-on-year growth was the same as the quarter-on-quarter growth of 12.5%.
