United Airlines Holdings’ total revenue by segment increased from $2,489 million in Q3 2020 to $7,750 million in Q3 2021, marking a huge growth of 211%, on a year-on-year basis. It grew from $5,471 million in Q2 2021 to $7750 million in Q3 202, i.e., a growth of 41.65% on a quarter-on-quarter basis.

Cargo:
United Airlines Holdings provides regional and international transport of Cargo. Revenue from the cargo segment is generated by the mail and shipment services. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the company initiated only-cargo flights in 2020.

Passenger:
United Airlines Holdings passenger segment includes revenue from sales of tickets for passengers. This segment also comprises revenue realized from baggage fees, inflight-facilities fees, change of ticket fees, etc.
The revenue from the passenger segment occupied 85.63% of the total revenue in Q3 2021. It rose drastically by $4,988 million between Q3 2020 and Q3 2021, which makes it 302% growth on yearly basis. It also increased from $4,366 million in Q2 2021 to $6,637 million in Q3 2021, i.e., by 52.01% on a quarter-on-quarter basis.
Others:
United Airlines Holdings categorizes the ‘Other’ revenue segment as revenue spawned by catering services, ground handling, maintenance aids, etc.
Revenue from the Others segment accounts for 7.66% of the total revenue from all segments. It increased continuously between Q3 2020 and Q3 2021. It rose from $418 million in Q3 2020 and $594 million in Q3 2021, i.e., by 42.10% in a year. It also increased between Q2 2021 and Q3 2021 by $95 million, i.e., making a quarterly growth of approximately 19%.
