Teradyne is an American company that supplies automation equipment for tests and industrials uses. They are engaged in designing, developing, manufacturing and selling automatic test systems. The company serves users in various industries like – consumer electronics, wireless, automotive, industrial, computing, communications, and aerospace and defence.
Teradyne operates its business through four segments – Semiconductor test, System test, Industrial Automation and wireless test.
Teradyne carries out its operations globally. Their biggest market is Taiwan, followed by China and the United States. Other major markets include Singapore, Korea, Japan, Europe, Thailand, Philippines and Malaysia. Taiwan accounts for almost 25-30% of the firm’s revenue while China and the United States account for about 15-17% each.

It increased in 2019 to $49,410 in the first quarter, $56,420 in the second quarter, $58,200 in the third quarter and $75,470 in the last quarter. Revenue further increased to $105,650 in the first quarter of 2020.
Revenue from Philippines was $29,250 in the first quarter of 2018, $15,810 in the second quarter, $17,010 in the third quarter and $15,590 in the last quarter. In 2019 was in $19,760 in the first quarter, $31,240 in the second quarter, and $11,640 in the third quarter. Revenue for the first quarter of 2020 was $14,090.
Revenue from Taiwan was $136,490 in the first quarter of 2018, $131,730 in the second quarter, $141,740 in the third quarter and $103,910 in the last quarter. Revenue from Taiwan for 2019 was $84,000 in the first quarter, $129,760 in the second quarter, $122,230 in the third quarter and $149,610 in the fourth quarter.
Revenue from the United States was $63,370 in the first quarter of 2018, $68,500 in the second quarter, $68,020 in the third quarter and $83,130 in the last quarter. It increased in 2019 to $74,110 in the first quarter, $78,980 in the second quarter, $81,490 in the third quarter and $98,410 in the last quarter. Revenue went up to $105, 650 in the first quarter of 2020.
