The United States contributes the majority of the revenue for the company, accounting for 73% of the total revenue in Q4 2021, amounting to $3,418 million. However, on a quarter-on-quarter basis, the revenue declined by 13.21%, from $3,019 million in Q3 2021 to $3,418 million in Q4 2021. The net sales from the US region amount to $12,321 million.

The United States generates most of its revenue from the Orthopaedics, MedSurg, and Neurotechnology & Spine segments. About 13.55% of the revenue generated from the Us region is contributed by the Orthopaedics segment, amounting to $1,064 million in Q3 2021. MedSurg contributed to the revenue, which amounted to $1,397 million in Q3 2021, raised by 10.08%. And Neurotechnology and Spine, amounted to $558 million in Q3 2021, raised by 2.95%.

International

The International contributes significantly to the revenue for the company, accounting for 27% of the total revenue in Q4 2021, amounting to $1,283 million. The revenue from this region increased from $1,164 million in Q4 2020 to $1,283 million in Q4 2021, making an increment of 10.22% on a year-on-year basis. However, on a quarter-on-quarter basis, the revenue declined by 12.44%, from $1,141 million in Q3 2021 to $1,283  million in Q4 2021. The net sales from the International region i.e., Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, and other countries amounted to $4,787 million. International region is contributed by the Orthopaedics segment, amounting to $465 million in Q3 2021. MedSurg contributed to the revenue, which amounted to $358 million in Q3 2021, raised by 8.15%. And Neurotechnology and Spine, amounted to $318 million in Q3 2021, raised by 14.38%.

Stryker Corporation, established in Kalamazoo, Michigan, is an American global medical technology corporation. Stryker’s products include joint replacement and trauma surgery implants, surgical equipment and navigation systems, endoscopic and communications systems, patient handling and emergency medical equipment, neurosurgical, neurovascular, and spinal devices, and other medical device products utilized in a spread of medical specialties.

Dr. Homer Stryker, an orthopedist from Kalamazoo, Michigan, and a 1925 alumnus of the University of Michigan Medical School founded the Orthopedic Frame Company in 1941, which later became Stryker Corporation.

Stryker Corporation became the official name of the corporation in 1964. Stryker entered the replacement hip, knee, and other orthopaedic implant industry in 1979 with their initial public offering of stock and the subsequent acquisition of Osteonics Corporation (Stryker).

In the United States, the bulk of Stryker’s goods is sold directly to doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare providers. Stryker products are supplied globally through company-owned sales subsidiaries and branches, as well as third-party dealers and distributors, in over 100 countries. It is traded on New Stock Stock Exchange (NYSE) by its ticker symbol “SYK”.
