Sonos Inc’s Total Number of products sold declined from 2.65 million in Q1 2021 to 2.40 million in Q1 2022, marking a fall of 9.43% or 0.25 million on a year-on-year basis. However, the number of products sold showed an increase of around 81.82% or 1.08 million on a quarterly basis, as the number of products sold increased from 1.32 million in Q4 2021 to 2.40 million in Q1 2022.

In 2020, the company’s number of products sold initially fell massively but then gained momentum and rose every quarter. It fell by a massive 76.8%, from 2.94 million in Q1 2020 to 0.68 million in Q2 2020. From here on, the number of products sold increased from 0.68 million in Q2 2020 to 0.92 million in Q3 2020, registering a growth of 48.39% or 0.3 million. This was further continued with an increase in the number of products sold as they rose to 1.26 million in Q4 2020, accounting for an increase of 36.96% or 0.34 million. This was followed by a huge increase in the number of products sold in the next quarter as Sonos Inc’s total Number of products sold increased from 1.26 million in Q4 2020 to 2.65 million in Q1 2021, projecting an incline of 110.32% or 1.39 million.

In 2021, the company’s number of products sold witnessed various fluctuations. The number of products sold fell from 2.65 million in Q1 2021 to 1.04 million in Q2 2021, accounting for a decline of about 60.75% or 1.61 million. However, the products sold increased to 1.49 million in Q3 2021, registering an increase of 43.27% or 0.45 million. The revenue then increased to 2.40 million in Q1 2022 from 1.32 million in Q4 2021, projecting an increase of 81.82% or 1.08 million quarterly.  

On an overall analysis of the past years, it can be concluded that the company witnessed fluctuations in the number of products sold in all the quarters from 2018 to 2022. However, on a closer look at the statistics, it can be seen that there is a small incline in the number of products sold from 2.29 million in Q1 2018 to 2.40 million in Q1 2022, marking a rise of 4.8% or 0.11 million.

Ltd. in China, Sonos Europe B.V., Sonos Netherlands B.V., Sonos Japan GK, and Sonos Australia Pty Ltd., all based in the Netherlands, distribute the company’s products in more than 50 countries. Since the company’s first product introduction, Sonos has had 16 years of continuous revenue growth because of its innovative products, smooth customer experience, and expanding worldwide footprint. The selling of Sonos speakers and Sonos system goods accounts for the majority of its revenue. It also makes money through Partner goods and other sources, such as IKEA module revenue, Sonance architectural speakers, accessories like speaker stands and wall mounts, professional services, licencing advertising, and subscription revenue.
