Sirius XM Holdings Inc. is a U.S. based broadcasting company headquartered in New York City that provides satellite radio and online radio services operating in the United States. It was formed by the merger of  XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio in 2008.

The primary revenue source for Sirius XM is subscription fees, with most of its customers subscribing to monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual plans.  The company also generates revenue from advertisements on some non-music channels, which is sold under the SXM Media brand; direct sales of its satellite radios and accessories, and other ancillary services.  As of September 30, 2021, Sirius XM business had approximately 34.3 million subscribers.

Sirius XM has a 70% equity interest in Sirius XM Canada Holdings Inc. Sirius XM Canada’s subscribers are not counted in the subscriber count of Sirius XM.

Sirius XM operate two complementary audio entertainment businesses – Sirius XM business and Pandora business. It continues to expand the range of choices for their listeners – both in terms of compelling content and the array of ways in which it can be consumed. Approximately 135 million vehicles operate with Sirius XM radios, and the proliferation of smart speakers and other connected devices has increased the range of options consumers have for engaging with and consuming its content.
