A server or a data center is a computing device that enables accessing and sharing of data along with the provision of other communication services over a computer network such as a local area network (LAN) or a wide area network (WAN), using the internet.
Revenue market share is a server vendor’s revenue measured as a percentage of the total revenue of the entire server industry, over a fiscal period.
Importance of tracking revenue market share

Revenue market share as a metric
A relatively higher revenue market share is a positive performance indicator for a server vendor. It implies greater scale of operations and more profitability, thereby giving an edge over competitors.
