Okta is daily used by thousands of businesses and millions of people to securely access a diverse set of cloud, mobile, and online apps, on-premises servers, application program interfaces (APIs), IT infrastructure providers, and services from a variety of devices.
Okta’s number of customers rose by 218 % between Q1 2016 and Q1 2022, rising from 3350 in Q1 2016 to 10650 in Q1 2022. The period between Q3 2018 and Q4 2018 witnessed the highest quarter-on-quarter growth of 10.1% from 3950 to 4350 customers. The number of customers grew from 6550 to 7000 between Q1 2020 and Q2 2020, marking a 6.9% increase during the period. The growth rate increased to 7.4% between Q3 2020 and Q4 2020, rising from 7400 to 7950.
In Q1 2021, Okta’s customer count stood at 8400. It increased to 8950 in Q2 2021, marking a 6.5% increase on a quarterly basis. Similarly, there was a 5% increase between Q2 2021 and Q3 2021 to 9400 customers. It later grew by 6.5% to 10000 in Q4 2021. The growth rate increased to 6.5% from 10000 in Q4 2021 to 10650 in Q1 2022. As of Q1 2022, no single client accounted for more than 10% of the company’s accounts revenue.
