The company’s stores decreased by 649 in 2018 to 572 in 2020, mainly due to the COVID outbreak which negatively impacted the company’s operations and lowered the total market for its products.

Bloomingdale’s

Bloomingdale is a luxury American departmental store chain, offering a distinctive product mix including, Clothing, footwear, leather goods, bedding, furniture, beauty products, and more. The company presents an incredible assortment to its customer bolstered by its exclusive and iconic private brands; namely, AQUA, LINI, The Men’s Store, Hudson Park Collection, and Sky.

In 2020, the total number of stores owned by the company was 55, in which there were 35 department stores, 19 outlets, and 1 furniture outlet.

Bluemercury

Bluemercury is the nation’s largest and fast-growing company, dealing with luxury cosmetic products including in-store facials and spa treatments. The company was acquired by Macy’s Inc in 2005, which assisted the company to expand its operations by opening in-store Bluemercury shops in Macy’s department stores. The company has developed two of its own makeup lines namely, M-61 and Lune + Aster in the years 2012 and 2015 respectively. Most of the Cosmetic products of Bluemercury are vitamin-infused, vegan, and gluten-free; furthermore, paraben and phthalate-free, and are not tested on animals.

In 2020, the total number of stores that company-owned were 162, which is 5.26% less as compared to 2019.
