They operate more than 154 stores in the United States and also offer online services. Their business can be divided into – Domestic, Import, and Luxury. They sell brands like General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Chrysler, BMW, Lexus, etc. The franchises in each segment also sell used vehicles, parts and automotive services, and automotive finance and insurance products.

The retail sale of used vehicles amounted to $602.2 million in the first quarter of 2017, $633.60 million in the second quarter, $679.20 million in the third quarter, and $629.30 million in the last quarter. Revenue increased in 2018 to $715.60 million in the first quarter, $804.10 million in the second quarter, $805.90 million in the third quarter, and $753.40 million in the last quarter. Revenue reached new highs in 2019 and went up to $827.90 million in the first quarter, $888.30 million in the second quarter, $916.30 million in the third quarter, and $894.70 million by the end of the fourth quarter. The revenue from wholesale of used cars increased from $277.8 million in 2017 to $331.4 million in 2018 and then dropped to $301.2 million in 2019.
Revenue from finance and insurance products increased from $385.9 million in 2017 to $454.9 million in 2018 and then increased to $518.6 million in 2019.
Revenue from services, body, and parts stood at $232.60 million in the first quarter of 2017 and then went on to $246 million in the second quarter, $265.70 million in the third quarter and $271.50 million in the last quarter. Revenue then went up in 2018 to $285.70 million in the first quarter, $311.40 million in the second quarter, $311.30 million in the third quarter, and $313.90 million in the last quarter. Revenue increased further in 2019 to $317.30 million in the first quarter, $335.50 million in the second quarter, $340.50 million in the third quarter, and $331.80 million by the end of the year.
Revenue from its biggest market- new vehicles stood at $1.21 billion in the first quarter of 2017, $1.38 billion in the second quarter, $1.55 billion in the third quarter, and $1.62 billion by the end of the year. Revenue then went up in 2018 to $1.45 billion in the first quarter, $1.73 billion in the second quarter and third quarter and $1.69 billion in the fourth quarter. Revenue continued to increase in 2019 to $1.46 billion in the first quarter then dropped marginally to $1.71 billion in the second quarter before increasing to $1.82 billion in the third quarter and $1.81 billion by the end of the fourth quarter.
Lithia’s revenue from almost all categories has been increasing every year and is expected to continue this trend for the next few years.
