Ford’s total revenue has increased from $31.30 billion in Q1 2020 to $33.60 billion in Q1 2021, which is a 7% increase. The reason for this increase is due to the rise in demand for SUVs and Pickup trucks around the world.

With the upcoming launches of many automobiles and commercial vehicles such as Ford F-150 Lighting Electric Pickup Truck, E-Transit Van, Ford Maverick, Mustang Mach-E, Ford Bronco, and Ford Escape the revenue is expected to rise further.

China

During Q1 2021, China contributed about 2% of Ford’s total revenue. Ford’s revenue for this region remained the same at $0.80 billion during Q1 2021 and Q4 2020. Further, there was a 33% increase in revenue compared to Q1 2020 when $0.60 billion were earned.

Europe

This region was the second biggest market for Ford Motor Company during Q1 2021 as it contributed about 21% of the company’s total revenue. Ford’s revenue for the European region remained the same at $7.10 billion during Q1 2021 and Q4 2020. But there was a 15% increase when compared to Q1 2020, where $6.20 billion were earned.

In this region, the company operates in countries such as United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Poland, and the Netherlands.

International 

The International markets contributed about 8% of the total revenue of Ford during Q1 2021. Ford’s revenue from this region fell from $2.50 billion in Q4 2020 to $2.30 billion in Q1 2021. But there was a 15% increase in revenue compared to Q1 2020 where $2.00 billion were earned.

North America

A majority of Ford Motor Company’s revenue comes from North America, which contributed about 68% of total revenue in Q1 2021. Ford’s revenue from this region in Q1 2021 amounted to $23.00 billion, which was a 4% increase in revenue compared to Q4 2020 when the revenue earned was $22.00 billion. There was a further 6% increase compared to Q1 2020, where $21.80 billion were earned.

South America

Ford Motor Company earned $0.40 billion from South America during Q1 2021 which was a 99% decrease when compared to Q4 2020 when $0.90 billion were earned.
