Back in 2017, the first-quarter revenue from other countries except the U.S. was $118 million. The revenue has only increased since then. The revenue then went up to $124.90 million in the second quarter, $140.60 million in the third quarter, and $147.60 million by the last quarter of 2017. The revenue then increased to $154.70 million in the first quarter of 2018 and continued this trend throughout the year and revenues went up to $166.80 million in the second quarter, $177.70 million in the third quarter and $186 million in the fourth quarter of 2018. The upward trend of revenue from other countries continued to increase into 2019 and the revenue increased to $188.50 million in the first quarter, $196 million in the second quarter, $207.40 million in the third quarter and had reached $215.30 million by the end of the fourth quarter of 2019. The revenue for the first quarter of 2020 was $219.40 million.
The revenue from the U.S stood at $129.90 million in the first quarter of 2017. The revenue from the U.S has also been increasing since then. The revenue went up to $141.80 million in the second quarter,$146.10 million in the third quarter, and $157.90 million by the last quarter of 2017. In 2018 the revenue continued to increase and had reached $161.60 million in the first quarter,$172.40 million in the second quarter, $182.60 million in the third quarter, and $189.90 million by the end of 2018. In the first quarter of 2019 revenue had grown to $197.10 million. This growth continued throughout the year and revenue increased to $205.50 million in the second quarter, $220.80 million in the third quarter, and $230.70 million by the fourth quarter of 2019. The revenue for the latest quarter i.e.: the first quarter of 2020 was $235.60 million.
Dropbox revenue has been increasing over the years from both the international markets and the U.S markets and does not seem to slow down. The growth in Dropbox’s revenue is expected to increase into the coming years with the advancement in technology and the use of internet storage.
