Ciena Corporation has operations across five continents across the globe: Asia, Europe, North America, Africa and Europe in over thirty-five different countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Japan, United Kingdom and India to name a few.

The CALA region, with nearly 4.5 per contribution in revenue, reported a 57 per cent increase in Q2, 2019 as compared to Q2, 2018. The increase for the fiscal quarter ended July 31,2019 was primarily driven by increased sales in Brazil and Mexico.

The EMEA region contributing around 13 per cent of the total revenue for Q2, 2019, reported a 5.5 per cent decline as compared to Q2, 2018. 

North American region, with nearly 66.6 per cent contribution in revenue, reported a 34 per cent increase in Q2, 2019 as compared to Q2, 2018. 

The APAC region contributing around 16 per around of the total revenue for Q2, 2019, reported a 11 per cent decline as compared to Q2, 2018. The decrease for the fiscal quarter ended July 31, 2019 was primarily driven by decreased sales in India after a particularly strong 2018. However, this decrease was partially offset by increased sales in Japan and continued efforts to new capture market share with communication service providers in this region.
