Tyson Foods works in four segments beef, porks, chicken, and prepared foods. Its total revenue was $11.30 billion in Q2 2021, increased by 3.37% year-over-year from $10.90 billion in Q2 2020.

Foodservice

Tyson Foodservice provides high-quality food service supplies and menu options for schools, universities, and hospitals.

Tyson Foods generated $3.19 billion from its foodservice segment during Q2 2021. The revenue from this segment has increased by 2.24% year-over-year and contributed 28.23% of the company’s total revenue generated in Q2 2021.

Industrial and other

In Q2 2021, Industrial and other generated $1.21 billion that was 10.71% of its total revenue during the period. Revenue from this segment grew by 4.31% year-over-year from $1.16 billion in Q2 2020

International

The international segment operates in Australia, China, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherland, South Korea, and Thailand.

Retail

KFC, Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy, Wal-Mart, Kroger, IGA, Beef O’Brady’s, small restaurant companies, and jail, all use chicken. Tyson Foods saw growth in the retail channel, while COVID-19 caused a rise in raw material prices and a reduction in manufacturing throughput.

As of 2019, the company employed 141,000 employees, with 122,000 of them based in the United States.

Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, Ball Park, Wright, Aidells, IBP, and State Fair are among Tyson Foods’ many goods and brands. The company operates in 10 countries serving consumers and customers of five continents. Tyson’soperates 110 processing plants centered in the Midwest, with 16 in Arkansas, 11 in Texas, 9 in Iowa, and the rest are primarily in the eastern United States.
