HomeGoods is a flagship brand of TJX company, started in 1992 and operating in the United States. This is available in both superstore and standalone formats and it also offers its customers an e-commerce website. This segment offers ever-changing products such as furniture, rugs, lighting, furniture, decorations, tabletops, and cookware.

TJX company’s number of stores from the HomeGoods segment increased from 852 stores in Q2 2021 to 882 stores in Q1 2022, setting an incline of 3.52% (30 stores). However, the number of stores remained almost the same from 882 stores in Q1 2022 to 885 stores in Q2 2022, making a minimal growth of 0.34% (3 stores). HomeGoods accounts for 18.97% of the total number of stores in Q2 2022.

Marmaxx

T.J.Maxx along with Marshalls in the U.S. forms Marmaxx. This was founded in 1976 and it is the largest home fashion retailer and off-price apparel in the U.S., having stores all around the country, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. T.J.Maxx expands its line of luxury jewelry and accessories, sets it apart from Marshall, and also operates an e-commerce site.

The majority of the company’s stores are from the Marmaxx segment accounting for 53.16% of the company’s total number of stores in Q2 2022, amounting to 2480 stores. It grew by 1.18% (29 stores) compared to 2451 stores in Q2 2021 and decreased by 0.04% (1 store) compared to 2481 stores in Q1 2022.

TJX Canada

HomeSense started with the concept of off-price home fashion in Canada in 2001. This chain combines HomeSense with the Marshalls and Winners stores that work in both standalone and superstore formats. Canada’s HomeSense along with winners and Marshall. forms TJX Canada.

In Q2 2022, TJX Canada’s number of stores stood at 540 stores. It increased by 3.45% (18 stores) compared to 522 stores in Q2 2021 and 1.89% (10 stores) compared to 530 stores in Q1 2022. This segment accounts for 11.62% of the company’s total number of stores in Q2 2022.

TJX international

TJX international consists of TK Maxx and HomeSense in many countries including the UK, Austria, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, and many other countries. T.K. Maxx introduced off-price retailing to the U.K. and Ireland in 1994 and it is the only brick-and-mortar, off-price retailer of home fashions and apparel of significant size in Europe. In 2008, Homesense initially started the off-price homeware concept in the U.K. and in Ireland in 2017.

The number of stores from TJX international accounts for 16.25% (758 stores) of the total number of stores in Q2 2022. The number of stores grew up from 732 stores in Q2 2021 to 758 stores in Q2 2022, making an increase of 3.55% (26 stores) in a year. Quarterly, the company achieved a growth of 1.61% (12 stores) from 746 stores in Q1 2022 to 758 stores in Q2 2022.

It also has four E-commerce centers in the U.S. Winners, HomeSense (U.K. and Ireland) and Marshall (combined, TJX Canada) Canada; and T.K. Maxx is in the U.K., Ireland, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Poland, and Australia. The company is a leading off-price retailer in fashion products which aims to deliver great value on ever-changing selections of quality, fashionable, brand name, and designer merchandise at prices generally 20% to 60% below full-price retailers. TJX was ranked 97th on the 2021 Fortune 500 Companies List of the largest United States corporations by total revenue.
