Productivity and Business Processes

This segment primarily comprises of these products and services: 

  • Office Commercial, including Microsoft Office 365 Commercial subscriptions and Office licensed on-premises and others
  • Office Consumer, including Microsoft Office 365 Consumer subscriptions and Office licensed on-premises and, Office Consumer Services, including Skype, OneDrive.
  • LinkedIn, including Talent and Marketing solutions, and Premium subscriptions.
  • Microsoft Dynamics business solutions including Dynamics ERP on-premises, Dynamics CRM on-premises.

This segment reported a 13.7 per cent revenue growth for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2019 compared to the same period in the fiscal year 2018. This growth was primarily driven by Office 365 Commercial growth of 30 per cent, increase in subscriptions, Dynamics 365 growth, 

Intelligent Cloud

This segment primarily comprises of these products and services: 

  • Server products and cloud services, including Microsoft SQL Server, GitHub and Microsoft Azure.
  • Enterprise services, including Microsoft Consulting Services.

This segment reported a 22.20 per cent revenue growth for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2019 compared to the same period in the fiscal year 2018. This growth was driven by Azure growth of 73 per cent.

More Personal Computing

This segment primarily comprises of products and services such as Windows, Devices and Gaming, geared towards harmonizing the interests of end users, developers, and IT professional across all devices.

This segment reported a 7.69 per cent revenue growth for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2019 compared to the same period in the fiscal year 2018. This growth was driven by licensing revenue, Xbox software and services growth of 12 per cent.
