Monthly Average Revenue Per Customer (“ARPC”) is calculated by dividing monthly subscription net revenue from transactions directly between McAfee and Core Direct to Consumer Customers by the average Core Direct to Consumer Customers for the same period. Calculating ARPC is an excellent approach for a company to keep track of its annual growth. ARPC may be used by service and software companies that provide various monthly membership tiers to track the monetary worth of each new user. They may then analyze the value of each subscription’s users to see which premium offers have the largest impact on income.

Observation

When comparing the years ended December 26, 2020 and December 28, 2019, we see that net revenue climbed $271 million, or 10.3%, from $2,635 million in the previous year to $2,906 million in the following year.

Consumer net sales climbed by $255 million, or 19.6%, from $1,303 million in the previous fiscal year to $1,558 million in 2020, the following fiscal year.

Interpretation

The rise was mostly due to constant growth in ARPC as well as a mix of numerous variables in the company’s consumer division. Higher Core Direct to Consumer Customer subscriber base from the prior year, increased TTM Dollar Based Retention – Core Direct to Consumer Customers. Increased new subscribers from improvements in customer acquisition across channels combined with higher demand due to the accelerated shift to working from home as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The growth in the company’s Mobile & Internet Service Provider channels together with the previously mentioned factors all contributed as supporting factors in the rise of ARPC, resulting in greater net revenues.

Trend

From 2019 onwards, there has been a consistent growth in ARPC, which is essentially driving the increase in net revenue.

The net revenue increase was largely driven by ARPC increase along with growth in Core Direct to Consumer Subscribers, increases in secure search revenue, and  growth in Mobile and Internet Service Provider business. This trend is reflected over the three months and nine months ended September 25, 2021 compared to three months and nine months ended September 26, 2020.
