They provide electronic design, production and product management services to companies in the automotive, capital equipment, consumer lifestyles, computing and storage, defense, aerospace, digital home, emerging growth, healthcare, energy, mobility, networking, packaging, point of sale and printing industries. Their business can be divided into two segments – Electronics Manufacturing Systems and Diversified Manufacturing Systems. The company provides product design, procurement, and supply as well.

The company has over 100 plants in more than 28 countries. The Company conducts its operations in facilities that are located in Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Ukraine, the United States, and Vietnam. The major locations where Jabil carries out its operations are China, Hungary, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, and the U.S. These countries contribute to almost 80-85% of Jabil’s total revenue. Originally Brazil was also a major source of revenue but saw diminishing numbers after 2014.

China is a major source of revenue as about 20% of every year’s total revenue comes from there, even though the percentage of revenue from China has been declining marginally recently. Revenue from Hungary was around 6% of the total revenue till 2016 after which it started to decline and now forms around 3.5%-4% of Jabil’s total revenue. Revenue from Malaysia was 8% of the total revenue in 2014 and 2015 after which it started to reduce and has now stabilized around 6% of the total revenue. Mexico is one of the major sources of revenue for Jabil as it contributed around 16% of the total revenue and in 2109 made up 18% of the company’s total revenue. Singapore is the top source of Jabil’s revenue with 25-30% of the company’s revenue coming from there. Revenue from the U.S had declined to about 8% of the total revenue in 2017 and 2018, but have turned around back to 12% in 2019.

Jabil’s total revenue has been increasing yearly after 2014. The total revenue for 2019 was $25.27 billion, a 10% increase over 2018’s total revenue. Revenue from China has been increasing recently from $4.01 billion in 2017 to $4.59 billion in 2018 and $4.96 billion in 2019. Revenue from Hungary was slowly declining from $944.5 million in 2017 to $897.3 million in 2018 and $809.03 million in 2019.  Revenue from Malaysia increased from $1.12 billion in 2017 to $1.39 billion in 2018 and $1.68 billion in 2019.

Revenue from Mexico increased from $3.21 billion in 2017 to $3.53 billion in 2018 and $4.53 billion in 2019. Revenue from Singapore increased from $5.59 billion in 2017 to $7.19 billion in 2018 and then decreased to $ 6.72 billion in 2019. Revenue from the U.S increased from $1.65 billion in 2017 to $1.84 billion in 2018 and then $3.10 billion in 2019. Revenue from other countries also increased during this period from $2.55 billion in 2017 to $2.65 billion in 2018 and $3.49 billion in 2019.

Jabil’s revenues have been increasing for the last five years and are expected to grow further in the coming years.
