From the chart company’s total revenue growth is -50% from 2013 to 2016. It did rise for two years but again collapsed by a huge number. It declined from $312 billion in 2013 to $124 billion in 2020. The reason for this is its competitors increased the oil production, Exxon Mobil also did the same because of a sudden increase in supply there is an oversupply of oil due to which prices of the oil decreased. This oversupply of oil causes an adverse growth in total revenue by -60% from the year 2013 to the year 2020.

Belgium: In this region, there is the highest decline in total revenue (in percentage) by 70.29% amounting to $20.97 billion in 2013 to $6.23 billion in 2020. This region contributed 5.02% of revenue share in 2020.

Canada: Exxon Mobil has 69.6% ownership stakes in Imperial oil limited. Imperial oil limited is Canada’s second-highest crude oil, natural gas, and petrochemical company. Canada contributed 10.55% or $13.09 billion of revenue share in 2020. Revenue has declined from $35.92 billion to $13.09 billion from 2013 to 2020. It has a negative growth rate of 63.56%.

Singapore: $9.44 billion revenue contributed by Singapore which is 7.61% of the company’s total revenue in 2020. It shows -39.56% revenue growth from 2013 to 2020.

France: Exxon Mobil Chemical France SARL contributed $8.67 billion, approximately 7% of total revenue in 2020. The company shows revenue growth of approximately  -53% from 2013 to 2020.

Italy: Exxon Mobil Italiana Gas Srl contributed $7.09 billion or 5.71% of the revenue share in 2020. The revenue growth is -63.21% from 2013 to 2020.

United Kingdom: Exxon Mobil revenue from the United Kingdom witnessed a decline by 67.56% from $34.06 billion in 2013 to $11.05 billion in 2020. Exxon Mobil is doing business in the United Kingdom for more than 40 years. $11.05 billion revenue is contributed by this region which is 8.91% of total revenue in 2020.

United States: The United States generated $62.66 billion, almost 50% of the total revenue in the year 2020. In 2013 the generated revenue was $152.82 billion. From 2013 to 2020 the US revenue growth is -59%. 2020 was Exxon Mobil’s least profitable year since its establishment through the merger in 1999. The coronavirus pandemic and oversupply of oil are the main reasons for this.

To strengthening the portfolio, Exxon Mobil Corporation announced that they have funded the third major project in the Stabroek block will have the capacity to produce up to 2,20,000 barrels per day. This project will start in 2024.
