Coca-Cola’s total revenue fell from $37.27 billion to $33.01 billion, between FY 2019 and FY 2020, which was an 11% decrease. The reason for this fall may be the closure of restaurants, theatres, and sporting venues due to the COVID-19 pandemic all over the world.

To recover from this setback the company is developing a contactless, mobile technology for its Freestyle machines, which is expected to roll out in the US by the end of this year. This technology allows consumers to choose and pour drinks in a few seconds, without creating an account or downloading an app. In Australia, Coca-Cola has started accepting cryptocurrency at vending machines to reduce contacts.  The company is also planning to refresh its product portfolio and eliminate small underperforming brands around the world.  Along with this, the company is starting a refreshed marketing approach, with a step-change in marketing investment efficiency and effectiveness.
