Citigroup is a banking and financial services company with three major revenue verticals:

Global consumer banking: It consists of wealth management and retail banking which is residential real estate and small business banking. Branded cards of Citi are founded in all regions along with a majority of these services rendered in North America, Latin America, and Asia.

Citigroup’s revenue was $17.15 billion in Q3 2021 which was a decline by 1% on year-on-year basis from $17.30 billion in Q3 2020.

Citigroup’s revenue is further classified into the following business categories:

Global Consumer Banking:

Citigroup generated $6.26 billion from its global consumer banking during Q3 2021. The revenue from this segment has declined by 13% year-on-year from $7.17 billion in Q3 2020 and has contributed to 36% of the company’s total revenue generated in Q3 2021.

Institutional Clients Group:

This segment earned a revenue of $10.79 billion in Q3 2021. This segment increased by 4% year-on-year from $10.35 billion in Q3 2020 and accounted for 63% of the total revenue in Q3 2021.

Other sources/Corporate:

This segment’s revenue for Q3 2021 was $0.11 billion. This was up by 148% year-on-year from a loss of $0.22 billion in Q3 2020 and constituted 1% of the total revenue of Q3 2021.
