Subscription Solutions

Subscription solutions revenue consists of subscription fees from all plans. The revenue from this segment includes revenue from recurring professional services and sale of SSL certificates. A portion of their enterprise subscription plans includes an upfront promotional period to incentivise the customer to enter into a subscription arrangement. For enterprise arrangements, the total subscription fee is recognised on a straight-line basis.

The majority of BigCommerce total revenue is generated through this segment, accounting for 71% of the company revenue in Q3 2021, amounting to $42.12 billion. The revenue from this segment has also been on the rise. It increased from $26.55 million in Q3 2020 to $33.96 million in Q2 2020 and further to $42.12 million in Q3 2021. The revenue from the subscription solutions segment increased by 58.64% on a year-on-year basis, from $26.55 million in Q3 2020 to $42.12 million in Q3 2021. It witnessed an incline of 24.02% on a quarter-on-quarter basis, as compared to $33.96 million in Q2 2021.
